I need help.

1.) The first link says: set maxfps to 125. The second link says: Run a timedemo und use the gained average fps as limit for maxfps. So, what is the truth?

2.) Is it possible to put the ommands behind the commando line when starting the game? Something like c:\COD\COD.exe /maxfps or do I always need to open the console?

3.) How does the /maxfps command work with respect to the fact that some people use V-synchronization on their TFT monitor?

To 1.
Imho maxfps 125 should work for all graphic cards. A timedemo may have been useful some years ago, where not every card was able to deliver 125 fps constantly.
MaxFps only limits the fps to a top value. If the graphic card is not able to deliver this amount, the setting is without affect. It should be set if you have a "high end" card that
can do fps of 130 and more.

To 2.
I don't know

To 3.
Well, it is like accelerating a car to its limit without shifting into the second gear..
If VSync is enabled, every frame is synchronised with your max refresh rate of the monitor. If the refresh rate of the monitor is 60 Hz, you will only get 60 Hz - even if fps is set to a higher value.
