ESG UT99 Sniping Cup 2010



* On this occasion, a large set of ut99 servers will be set up to play all matches on 2 or 3 weekends, from Friday 10th of September (a game will determine different groups).
* The teams registration is open until Wednesday the 8th of September, through a form to be filled in by each Team Leader.
* All information, discussions, screenshots,... concerning the cutting will be held on the ESG forum.
* The ESG Playground will be used by the cup admins to host the cup score board and match results on >>> STANDINGS





SERVER SETTINGS :

* 2 different settings voted by Map-Vote ; teams alternately vote to choose the setting they want for the next map :
o "Old School" : free movements (no anti-run mutator) + ESG Freestyle Sniping Rifle + ESG Translocator (telefrag on) + ESG Redeemer + all Power-Ups (no Relics)
o "Camping" : restricted movements (SlowItDownv4d set for frag penalties when running with the rifle out for 5 seconds) + ESG Sniping Rifle + ESG Translocator (no telefrag) + no Redeemer + Boots (no other power-ups, no Relics)

* Min-MaxPlayers : from 4v4 to 10v10
* Best of 5 maps : a set of 5 medium and big maps pre-selected and assigned to each round (same set of maps for "Old School" and "Camping" settings)
* Time Limit : 15 minutes
* Frag Limit : 100
* Protections : ACEv08, UTPureRC7G, AnthChecker, AntitweakV42
* Other mutators : AMLP_HaSm_v1b, BunnyFooFoov5s, Spawnguard, Pheonix, LongShotv2b, ESG_No16bits, HideNPeek, QAnnouncer, TDMEndGameFix, SpectatorPlusV2, WhoPushedMe

MATCH RULES :
Play by the ESG CUP RULES:
1. PLAY FAIR (no cheating...) BY THE MATCH DATES, TIMES & GRANTED TIMEOUTS !
2. NO COMPLAINTS OR ARGUMENTS WITH ADMINS, REFEREES OR PLAYERS, NO DRAMA !
3. NO BAD LANGUAGE AND NO CURSING AT ADMINS, REFEREES OR PLAYERS !
4. NO OFFENSIVE NICKNAMES, NO UNREGISTERED NICKNAMES AND NO TAG/NICKNAME USURPATION !
5. NO GUESTING ! (a player registered in a Team Roster is not allowed to play for another Team ; see "Team Roster Management" paragraph below for further information)
6. NO EXCESSIVE USE OF TAUNTS !
7. THE USE OF BUGS/GLITCHES IS NOT ALLOWED ! A bug/glitch example : move behind or under the map.

CONSTANT RUN AND GUNNING, HIDING, BASE CAMPING, CLOSE REVENGING AND HUNTING ARE TOLERATED ! (There is no mistype !) Movements are necessary in the game but finding a spot to hide, to camp and to snipe from can also be a good alternative.

Breaking the Rules mentionned above may lead to warnings or penalties (instant point deductions in game, withdrawn maps, forfeited match, player disqualification and/or team disqualification ; see Penalty System below for further informatioin).



PENALTY SYSTEM :

* For any abuse given to anyone, the abusive team will recieve instantly 5 points deduction in game (Team Score - 5).
* The second abuse made will result in 10 point deduction in game against the abusive team (Team Score - 10).
* The third abuse made will result in the map being forfeited against the abusive team.
* The fourth abuse made will result in the match being forfeited against the abusive team.


There will be no point deductions to be made after the match has finished.



TEAM ROSTER MANAGEMENT :

* Each team needs to enter a complete list of players that they want to play in the Cup.
* At least 1 player per team is required for the Cup Refereeing (ASC Controller level 7 + Webadmin + Control Panel will be made available to them)
* If a player leaves a team to join another team, and is wishing to play cup matches in his new team, the roster will be changed, but the player must wait for 2 matches until he can play for his new team.
* Player substitutions in game are allowed in case of technical problems only ; referees must be immediately taken informed.




SCORING SYSTEM :

* + 3 points for winning a match
* + 1 point for losing a match
* + 0 point for forfeiting a match

TIMEOUTS GRANTED :

* 10 minutes before the start of the match
* 5 minutes between the maps
* 5 minutes for a player disconnection in case of technical problem only




SERVER CRASH DURING A MAP :
In case of a server crash during a map, either the map is replayed or the win is given to the team that was on a good lead ; it should be a matter of common sense and fair play from both teams and referees.
